Reading Notes: Twenty-Two Goblins, Part A

 Introduction

- A king follows a monk's orders by going and climbing a tree to cut down a body hanging from it. The monk instructed him to bring the body back to him and the king finds out there's a goblin in the body hiding and on the journey back to the monk, the goblin tells the king a story.


The Three Lovers

- This story is about three men who bring a dead girl back to life and the king must decide which one is the worthy man that gets to be the girl's husband.


Brave, Wise, Clever

- This is another test of the king having to decide which man is more worthy of getting the girl at the end of the story. 


The Girl, Her Husband, and Her Brother

- This is another story told by the goblin to the king, and it's about a girl, and her brother and lover's heads get cut off and then put back on the wrong bodies. 

Food, Women, Cotten

- The goblin tells the king another story about brothers and who out of the three brothers and three specialists. The Goblin acts the king which of the specialists is the cleverest.
